Re-entering the world of ceramics was a watershed moment for Na’im. After not having worked with clay for a great number of years, his reintroduction to the medium was followed by a prolific outpouring of production. Monogram Coffee, arguably Canada’s best coffeeshop, asked Na’im to work on an order of several hundred cups for their 5 locations across Canada. The cups, of two varying shapes, showcase a range of designs and illustrations, while faithfully maintaining Na’im’s distinctive style. Each cup is thrown on the wheel, then trimmed, hand-painted, fired and glazed by Na’im in his Barcelona studio.
